Advancing a New Era of Quality Lubricants for the Nigerian Market

ASAD Lubricants took a significant step forward this week as our delegation visited the headquarters of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in Mumbai, India. The goal was simple: deepen partnerships that will help us deliver the highest-quality lubricants to Nigeria.
BPCL is one of India’s leading energy companies, and meeting with their leadership opened up a strong pathway for collaboration. The discussions focused on two core areas that matter deeply to us and to the Nigerian market.
First, premium base oil supply.
We explored opportunities to source high-grade base oils directly from Bharat Petroleum’s facilities. For us, quality starts at the foundation, and securing reliable access to superior base stocks is key to producing lubricants that stand up to Nigeria’s demanding climate and engine conditions.
Second, research and development support.
We also engaged with MAK Lubricants, BPCL’s renowned lubricant division. Their technical experience and R&D depth align perfectly with our mission to build a world-class blending operation in Nigeria. The conversation covered potential knowledge sharing, product development support, and long-term collaboration aimed at elevating lubricant performance across multiple product categories.
The meeting was warm, productive, and forward-leaning. BPCL’s team expressed strong interest in partnering with us, and both sides are continuing discussions on how best to structure this collaboration for mutual growth.
For us at ASAD Lubricants, this visit wasn’t just a courtesy call. It was a strategic move toward building a supply chain and product development ecosystem that allows Nigerian consumers, fleets, and industries to trust the products they use every day.
We remain committed to raising the standard of lubricant production in Nigeria. This engagement with Bharat Petroleum brings us one step closer to that vision.
More updates to come as discussions progress.
